The A-Team Challenge was developed 20 years ago by the Foundation and NBC-2. It is
the only televised high school academic competition in Florida on a national affiliate.
The purpose of the A-Team Challenge is to encourage, promote and spotlight academic
achievement and excellence among area high school students. In the six-county area, the
quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are aired during prime time by NBC-2.
The A-Team Challenge is now in partnership with NBC-2 and Lee County School District’s
ITV Dept. This has enabled us to expand the curriculum by offering students who are interested in audio and television production the ability to work first hand with producers from the School District of Lee County and NBC-2.
